Urban Gardens ... a proposal

I think I have an idea, getting to a plan, for what God is calling me to do....  I would like to put this together with you a bit at a time, and see if we can follow where I hope the Light is leading.

I have looked into the 'urban garden' project I mentioned briefly, and everyone I talk to really likes the idea.  I think we can build employment, community, food, and stewardship of the community and the land.  I have found one or two similar projects in other cities, and that is good.  But the matter seems untried, and that is good too.  For now, let us call this 'Urban Gardens', and probably change it....

For review:
....  here is the offer to people who have money, heart, and not much time:  Urban Gardens will build you your own bountiful, attractive, healthy vegetable and flower-cutting garden on your own land, in the size and location you select.  Your garden will enrich your soil, feed your family, and nurture your soul.  You may donate extra produce to Second Harvest (maybe), and to Anthonys, and you may claim a tax deduction proportionately.  Urban Gardens gardeners will see that your garden is watered, maintained, harvested and cleaned, and constantly improved and fertilized.  You will be creating an employment opportunity while you feed the needy and participate in the original creative cycle....

... here is the offer and benefit to the people of EPA, especially youth:  Urban Gardens offers you a chance to earn money, build business skills and experience, and to connect with others in service... ( I need help here!)

... and of course we will have messages to the churches, to community gardening groups, and seek help from Job Train and others.

For action:
1.  Does this appeal to you as a feasible and helpful project?
2.  Could you spend some leadership and development time with me and others?  (If so, then I could make this an INCH program and provide financial aid to your family members, thus helping there too.)   ( I think that this is part of the call to me).
3.  I need to assemble a small team to work out some planning.  I will start this after I hear your reaction.
4.  I would start funding this partly with INCH (need Board approval, but I can almost certainly get it) and also of course with my own funds and funds raised.
5.  The big hope is that we make this a real sustaining business, one that could grow very substantially, and offer real experience and employment, while building community bonds.  But, I will get the early money for planning, marketing, tools, first operations, etc.
