
About INCH ScholarshipsINCH provides scholarships to 8th grade middle school students from East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and San Mateo County. The program seeks to raise the academic performance, graduation rates and college readiness of gifted and talented, but economically disadvantaged and at-risk students. The students receive $2,500 scholarships, conditional on both high school graduation and acceptance to college or vocational/special skills training program. Ten scholarships are awarded students each year.The program seeks to expand the number of at-risk students who enroll in college and/or vocational programs within East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and San Mateo County. Students are invited to apply for the scholarship through the schools. The applicants are reviewed and evaluated for the best qualifications, including their motivation and potential.The scholarships are awarded at the end of the 8th grade and students are tracked through high school. Tutoring assistance and college, university and vocational institution admission information are provided. - Students are required to notify INCH upon their high school graduation. The student is required to provide an official notice of admittance to their college, university or vocational institution of choice. (Student are to provide INCH their Student Identification Number, Name of the Institution, the Address and Contact Name and Phone Number of where the Scholarship Check is to be sent)
- The scholarships are only valid for three (3) years from the year of their high school graduation.

Procedural for the Scholarship Check
Send a copy of your High School Diploma or GED Certificate Send proof of registration in college or trade school Include: class schedule, school bills, and academic records Send to INCH the financial aid address, phone number of a Financial Officer or Academic Counselor INCH will send the scholarship check directly to the school once all information is received Students are to send their most current contact information, including: address, emails, cell phone and student I.D's
